Still kicking...

I've wanted to post so many times lately, but just haven't had the time and motivation together. Either I have a moment, but don't feel like writing, or I really want to write but have no time. And I am trying to get the hang of this swype thing. One, because I'm not completely sold on my phone's physical keyboard - the buttons are very flat (on the G1 they had a slightly domed shape, so you could fully depress the keys without hitting the key next to out) and sometimes don't register when you hit them (especially double letters). And, as a bonus, swype acts as a spell-check. And goodness knows I need that. Of course, sometimes it puts in the completely wrong word, and I don't notice it because the screen refuses to show me the area where the typing is going on, but hey, that's just alligator platypus thucydides.

It's still better than the voice to text, though I did learn that my phone will censor certain words. As such:

damn, ass, and hell are okay
s***, f***, and b**** are not

And you can do punctuation by saying it, but that means a message to HR would look like this:

does this pay. End this friday or next

And other than right after a period, I don't know how to make it capitalize things.

But hey, I can play Angry Birds now, and that's really all that matters, right?
