Caught some sort of stomach-bug (food poisoning?) on Wednesday, it was horrid. Still can't eat very much, which should be good for my weight except the only things I can eat are the things that are bad for me (breads, esp sweet ones). But I am recovering, so yay!
Remember that craft swap I signed up for very very long ago? Okay, yes, I've signed up for many - this one was a One Tiny Stuffie Swap. I made two Totoros. Then didn't hear from my swap partner for two months (thankfully she did message that she received!). The swap organizer seemed to have gone walkabout, but the Swap Mods took charge and sent her a message. Hilarity ensued, and the upshot is that she sent last week, but claimed not to be able to get a DC# (because of the box she used?), which is against the rules. Whatever. I may end up with a box on Tuesday, I might not. The Swap Mod said if it doesn't show up they'll put out a call for a Swap Angel. I'm just going to be happy to have this whole thing behind me! I... don't know how I feel about swaps at the moment, to be honest, and that could be a whole post in and of itself.
Then I get on FB and one of the bellydancers is gushing to another bellydancer/photographer that she only put one photo on her website, and it was one she took! Except it wasn't. It was a picture I took.
Look, I'm not all 'you must give me credit! Rar!' all the time, but it's a whole other ballgame to credit someone else for my work. And this is the second time it has happened. The first time the subject of the picture quickly stepped in and corrected the person who had posted (where they'd gotten the picture, I have no idea) and that made me happy. Then the person he'd credited also went 'um, no...' which also made me happy. We'll see how this plays out.
I give out the pictures for free, and don't even ask for credit. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to be upset about this. Now, I only found out about this and left a comment an hour ago (she posted last night), so we'll see how it plays out, but it has made me cranky. Blergh.
EDIT: she has apologized profusely and even credited me (which I said wasn't necessary) and offered to pay (again, not necessary at all!) and I'm good with that. I certainly don't hold grudges or stay upset about those things, and the day has gotten better (and worse) since then. Hopefully tonight will be fun...
On the bright side! Pen posted another Junetide story for me, which I should go read (I don't know if I'll have time before I have to leave for class, though), my tree is growing back after a bunny tried to nibble it to death, and the oxford comma is safe for now!
