I realize most planners are meant as a business tool. And, therefore, you would expect the emphasis to be on Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. But surely people (especially organized people!) want planners for their personal lives, and (unless you listen to FlyLady) a lot of life happens on the weekends. I do not take Sunday off to do nothing. I have things planned on Saturday. I want a planner that allows me to write more than a single line for Saturday and Sunday! I demand equal rights for Saturday and Sunday in the planner.
Ahem. Okay.
Now, I can't be the only one who feels this way, can I? But when I looked at planners the other day I couldn't find any that gave equal time to Saturday and Sunday. They fall into two categories:
( Saturday and Sunday are equally less important than the rest of the days )
( Saturday we like okay, but Sunday really doesn't matter )
Now, I do have one from work that actually does have them even, but it's a weekly planner and unfortunately that means there are 4 days per page (the seven days and a notes section). This really doesn't leave a lot of room to write. What I'd really like is a daily planner, one day per page. And I found a really promising one until... you guessed it. Despite being billed as a "page-a-day" calendar, Saturday and Sunday shared a page. They got half a page apiece. So can I trust anything on-line that says it's a page-a-day calendar? I don't think so.
So what does this leave me with? Using a blank notebook and making my own calendar, which seems like a lot of work, or just being the usual, unorganized me. Hmmm...
