I GOT A BOX FROM AUSTRALIA!

...oddly, it was in the exact same Christmas card box I bought once. Which really freaked me out for a moment, until I figured out I probably sent it there in the first place because they don't have Targets in Australia so how could she have bought that box of cards? And it wasn't even a good box from my clever cards, and now I'm slightly embarrassed to have used it. I have better taste, honest!

Anywho, to make you jealous I will tell y'all that I got some very pretty chopsticks from [personal profile] foxfinial who bought them in Singapore (it's sad, these chopsticks have traveled so much more than I have...) and dares me to try to eat ice cream with them (probably because of the little ice cream cones decorating them, which, while they are adorable and I love them, were an odd choice of something to decorate chopsticks with, now that I really think about it). On one hand, it might be impossible. On the other hand, ice cream. Mmmmm, ice cream...

ALSO! (Yes, there's more!) [personal profile] pippin sent me origami paper and strips - to fold cranes and stars! My hands have finally uncramped from my last 1,000 crane adventure, so I think I'm ready to embark on a new origami challenge. I totally want to make an awesome star garland, and then I am going to fold more cranes. Because once you start folding cranes... you just can't stop. You'd think I'd be sick of them, but folding paper is really very therapeutic and calming. Oooooohhhhhhmmmmmmm....

Also also (from [personal profile] pippin) a pretty little keychain book (another craft I want to try, little bookmaking) and some original comics/art (did I already award you +10 snerffle points for that?!) and a panda notebook (no, you really can't have too many notebooks, it's true) and a very, very, very good postcard/card story. Which was made of awesome. And was amazing. And I loved very much because you is an awesome storyteller.

So thank you thank you thank you for making a sucky week end on a high note. Between the box and the premiere of Eureka tonight, the weekend is lookin' good. Especially since there might be ice cream in my future.... (okay, if I do try to use the chopsticks I have a feeling I'll be wearing the ice cream, but still!)
