In general, there's a lot of unfunny - the book was written in the 60s, and you can imagine the prevailing views on women and minorities. The basic idea is that two young ladies on their way to the big city end up in some rustic backwater shacked up with a traveling poet, an Indian, and
What could possibly go wrong?

And to think this got published, while my crochet hook/knitting needle porn is doomed to spend eternity in obscurity...
