How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways... no, that would take too long! I will tell you the one good, positive theng I can think of about being back at work on a Monday morning - one-touch coffee. Granted, it's not good coffee, but it sure is easy to get a cup. I'd like an automatic coffee dispenser in my house... no, on second thought, that would be a bad idea. I'd never sleep!

In other news, yesterday's poll is a dead tie. Y'all are perfectly split between the rug and the blanket! In related news, a co-worker gave me a coupon to Hancock Fabrics for 30% off my Lion Brand yarn purchase. Helllooooo, lunch plans!

And in yet other news, I'm returning a second book to the library unread. I got through about 50 pages of the last one, but I couldn't even muster the energy to start this one. I've been working my way through a list a paranormal books, and while there have been a few great ones (the Gardella Vampire series and the Racheal Morgan series, most notably) I cannot take 'erotic paranormal' books that take themselves too seriously. It's the emo-ness and the 'edgy'-ness that bother me. Ooooh, it's so dark and dangerous and compelling! Whatever, wake me when it's interesting... Seriously, yhe book I'm returning unread? The back of the book told me the main character's name was Rhage. Really. Yeah... no thank you. Especially when the seventh book in the Racheal Morgan series is available for pick-up at the library! *bounces*

So, you may or may not know I've been hesitant to try this rug pattern because it calls for felting a wool and fun fur crochetted circular rug, and I'm really not sure how it will work. Well, I didn't get white fun fur but I did score some clearance light blue eyelash yarn and picked up the fisherman's wool the pattern calls for. And it suddenly occured to me - since I'm wondering how much of the 'fur' will end up on one side, and if it will really be fluffy... why not just crochet 2-3 rounds and try it out? Uh, duuh, I know! I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner.

I think it's my damnable all-or-nothing mentality... :/

Also, I looked into the cording at the fabric store, and it's pretty darn smooshy. I was worried about making that coil rug because I was afraid it would be to hard and lumpy, but now I'm thinking it might be pretty nice! I'm still going to make the starghan, because... I already started it using the black and green yarn. Yay me! And 12 projects will become a baker's dozen when I start this rug unless I *gasp* finish something in the meantime...
