Good thing I'm not planning on moving!

New appraisals are out! My house? Down 3%. It is now appraised at $1,000 less than it was appraised when we bought it, 4 years ago. Yay! I would be excited if I thought it meant I'd pay less in tax (because I'm not planning on moving) but I know they'll just up the tax rate to get their money.

Sadly, I can't get bailed out because I do owe less than the appraised value, plus I'm responsible and am able to make my house payments. Bummer, because I sure would like a few grand knocked off my loan!

I was thinking of running a week-long contest, the prize being a crafted item of your choice (icecat could get an octopus, or tarpo could get a sackboy, that kind of thing) but I don't know if there would be much interest? I do so need something to motivate me, I've been in such a productivity slump!

I have no idea, outside of letting it look at my e-mail (DO NOT WANT) to find anyone. I... don't know if I can post a link to my profile, because it's not like other places where you have your own web address... Any help would be appreciated.

Right now, I'm finding Facebook pretty sucky and annoying.

Okay, I've found a few people and have invited friendships - that's only if you had a link on your LJ or I knew your e-mail address. Other peeps will probably have to find me, either through my e-mail address (my lj name at comcast dot net) or through my name (hint, if you see the one with the stuffed ghost wearing the really bright scarf, that's me).
