I went through and counted my 'to be read - fiction' pile. I can't remember if my goal was to reduce it by 50% or 90%, but either way at the rate I've been checking books out of the library and buying new ones I'll never make it.



That's just the (mostly) paperback fiction that's in the bedroom. The rest of the accounting will have to wait until February when we get the new bookshelves and unpack the hardbacks and non-fiction.

OH THERE IS SMUT! There is LOTS and LOTS of smut.

err, but I TOTALLY have lots of VERY INTENSE non-fiction to read. *nods* LOTS.

I should have a 'guess as many spines as you can' contest. But then I'd probably be embarrassed to admit half of them. ~.^

Oddly enough, I'm not so much embarrassed by the romance novels - I admit to them quite willingly, even champion the genre on occasion! Some of the other... pseudo-fantasy... not really adult ones, now...

I could never get into romance novels. I figure, if I am going to read smut, why waste time with discussions about wildlife such as black footed ferrets when I could be reading about...smut, Haha.

I want to catalogue my books one day. I started with library thing. A lot of mine are library secondhands, too. I love book sales.

And now I know that for next christmas, I will send you a smutty library book. With a handmade book over. That has ferrets on it. Slutty ferrets. :)

I really want to rearrange them by color.

I organized all of my husband's woodworking books by color. It freaked him out a bit, I think.

Sleep is completely overrated! Sadly, I got very little last night. *yawn* But I'm still optimistic that if I'm good and don't buy too many more (HA!) I can whittle it down in three years...

I'm glad I could make you feel better. :P And, like I said, I'll even have to add to that... *sigh* At least I'm not completely alone in my gigantic to-read piles, misery loves company or some such. Only it's not misery, because there are all these yummy books just waiting for me, so it's really like... overindulgence. Prepare to gorge on words! Better for your waistline than chocolate, at any rate...

I have a similar number, but spread all over the house, and have made little to no progress in the last year or so. I keep going back to old favourites instead. It's like...I so seldom have TIME to read, that I want a guarantee that I'll enjoy it when I do have the time. Silly, really.

The library (where I am at the moment) is about 100 yards from my office. So I buys tons of books, check out tons of books, and only read tons of books, leaving me with tons of overrage. (tons + tons - tons = tons, right?)

We bought Bookpedia, great if you have a Mac and a scanner. Library thing is only free up to, what? 200 books? 300?

Поразмыслили о приобретении и решили, что не в состоянии дать ответ на все вопросы, вызванные нашим решением. Без опыта (пусть даже и не своего), как говорится, трудно! Помогите, пожалуйста, советом! какой выбрать шкаф, и какие параметры посоветуете учесть при выборе? На что следует ориентироваться, покупая шкаф? Или, разумнее, его заказать? какие материалы выбрать? Для нас все эти и многие другие нюансы остаются загадкой. помимо этого нравятся шкафы купе. в каком случае покупка шкафа купе будет намного целесообразнее, чем выбор простого шкафа? хотелось бы услышать мнение людей, купивших шкаф и могут дать хороший совет. Буду крайне благодарен за ваше мнение.заранее спасибо!
