Yes, now every time I hear that I automatically think: Postal Service. Especially today! I just got back from the post office.

[livejournal.com profile] mmmontserrat, [livejournal.com profile] clare_dragonfly, and [livejournal.com profile] dynastic_queen, on the way are the 'homemade' presents from a post awhile back. I hope you like them, if not, please regift them to a good home! I didn't realize how very hard it is for me to let go of things I make, though I'm getting better.

[livejournal.com profile] gelsey, your patterns (and a little suprise - it's powdery, but not anthrax, though I'm not sure some people wouldn't call it 'hazardous' ~.^) are on the way.

[livejournal.com profile] lyonza, the last of your Snerffle prizes are winging their way across the Atlantic. Well, not yet. Right now I'm sure they're still in the Post Office I dropped them at, but they will soon be on the way!

So now I am free and clear, with the exception of a few drabbles and Really Bad Poems I owe [livejournal.com profile] revoked_soul and [livejournal.com profile] penchaft. But I should have sent off everything physical that I owe people. If I've forgotten something (besides, you know, that XBox I don't remember promising anyone...) please let me know.

Also, I'm really trying hard not to break down and buy a new stove. The one we have is still sort of working, and I don't need more debt, but... but... I waaaaaaaaannnnnttt one! :/ The washer and dryer will be paid off this month! Can't I use that as an excuse? ;)

Nah!! Wait till your other stuff is paid off. I mean, you always still have the microwave right? Unless you don't have that in which case I suggest making a bon fire. The neighbors will love it.

I'm afraid it will completely stop working before we have everything else paid off! If we ever do... O.o And though I do have a microwave, I probably only use it for 1 in 10 things I cook, if that. I much prefer the oven!

But I should wait a little while and try to save up some money for it, I know...

YAAAAY! I will get goodies in March *grynne* Thanks dear - I still have goodies to send all over the world... as soon as I make them.

Oooh, powdery surprise ;) I love getting mail, srsly.

Thanks :D

Stoves are kinda essential (unless you're me and scared of the ancient, barely-working stove in the apartment ... it has something wrong with it, we're just not sure what). I might recommend a new one--once your washer and dryer are paid for :D

Yay, presents! The USPS seems to love you, so I'm thinking there's a good chance it'll get here before I leave on Sunday...

I wish we'd invented teleporters so you could get it faster, but I don't even want to contemplate what that would cost! The postal service is expensive enough. ;) Seriously, I do hope you like it, and I hope I remembered everything.

Yeah, the internet and e-mail are lovely, but there's just something about *real* mail that's still so wonderful.

I do expect to see lots of pictures of cross-stitched stuff, though! ;)

They ought to, I'm one of their best customers! :D Yeah, I think it should be a 3-4 day thing, they were all (with the exception of the one to S. Africa, which might get there by spring) sent priority mail. I do hope you like it, I'm somewhat worried about the hand-made ones. I need more confidence in my crafting abilities, I think!

I'll definitely take pictures. Though it's going to be awhile til I'm done with the one I'm on now, lol. It's big. Here's someone else's completed one ... I couldn't find just a picture of it that is exactly right. (http://www.n2-duplex.bias.ne.jp/~miki/MM/MM12(041130)/CDMCLSN%20Silent%20Journey%20(cross%20stitch)%201.jpg)

That's a lot of different colors! I seriously don't have the patience for that big a piece with that many color changes. Go you!

The part that's difficult about a piece like this is the shiny filaments and the "tweeded" colours--one strand of one and one strand of another. That's what makes this one complicated. My eagle one was simply a lot of colour changes between shades that were very similar, which made it hard.

I suppose it's a little masochistic, but I do enjoy it.
