No, seriously, don't answer that. It was just the only witty subject line my sleep-deprived NaNo-maxed brain could think up.
By now you've all probably heard about the new 'flag' feature (if not, head over to
lj_biz and join in the wank fun). But what I didn't know (until I waded through fifteen pages of comments) is that when you search, LJ will 'filter' your results for you! How convenient for you! Hide all that icky 'objectionable' content (which still hasn't been defined, by the way, and is now open to even more interpretation!) from your delicate eyes.
I don't know about you, but I'm not a big fan of filtering. I've found that Google doesn't do such a hot job of knowing what should be filtered out, so why should I trust LJ?
AND! To top is off, I went to change my settings (go HERE to do that) and it wouldn't let me set my viewing options to not-collapse. Why? Oh, because I had no birthday listed! EXCEPT! Oh yes, I've always had my birthday (the whole thing, plus the year) in the system, it was required when I signed up. And I even remember changing my profile to display the month a year not three weeks back. But it was BLANK.
HRM.
