smeddley: (Burnout)

ARRRRGGGHHHH!

So Photobucket is being a complete pain in the butt. Ever since I tried the 'Bulk Uploader' (which isn't all that great, since I can't get it to show me previews and because of that the only thing you can do is move everything into a separate folder beforehand) I CANNOT upload a single photo. It keeps giving me an 'internal system command error'. I've tried it with several of my Photobucket accounts (for the various icon contest communities) and it's like that for all of them. IE doesn't work, either (I thought it could be a Firefox thing).

Anyone else having problems? :/

EDIT: I deleted a program called 'OpenAL' from my computer, and it's working now. I don't know if that did anything else, and I haven't tried the Bulk Uploader again (I'm scared to, I don't want to deal with it). Everything else seems to be working as well as it was before (which is hit-and-miss at best). Yes, I love technology! Bah.

Office is half-clean. We'll see if I can actually manage to finish it. I fished out the ducks I owe people for Sneffle. Maybe I'll actually get a few boxes ready this weekend! (Your shipments will almost certainly be broken up into multiple boxes)

EDIT-EDIT: Back to not working. This is where I say something scathing about Photobucket having gone to crap every since partnering with LJ. ARGH! I just don't know why it's not working. Goodbye, Photobucket. I guess I can't expect much from a free service, right?

Photobucket has been pretty good to me, really. The only time it gives me a lot of trouble is if I try to use it from here (home) where I am in the land of dial up. Photos and dial up just aren't compatible.

Hope it starts working for you soon. Oh, and good luck on the office cleaning.

It had been fine up until now, and the bulk thing seems to still be working, but... *sigh*

I got a Flickr account now, as back-up, and for as long as I have a paid LJ there's Scrapbook (for all the crap they've pulled I don't know that I'll be able to stop paying, and I justify it that the $35/year is less than they'd make off of me by being able to tell advertisers that I was seeing their stuff...)

It's not clean yet, and since it's 10 I'm not sure I'm going to make it. *sigh* But it is better than it was at the beginning of the weekend, so that's a start, right?

Always good to have a backup.

I'm still paying. Doubt I'll ever stop.

Don't worry about it, then. And it is a definite good start. Some is better than none.

I use www.picturetrail.com

It's pretty low-maintenance.

I'd not heard of that one! I'll keep it in mind, I'm trying out Flickr right now, but I haven't heard great things about it. And I'll still us PB when I want to upload a bunch of crap, since that's teh part that's still semi-working!
